Whilst I was in Memphis I became a reporter for The Daily Helmsman newspaper for one semester. The University print newspaper had daily editions in both digital and print formats distributed across the city.

Digital Marketing
Having grown up around social media and ever evolving technological development, digital marketing is something much of my generation has some capability in. Throughout my childhood, my obsession with music was harboured through social media. I spent countless hours following musician's and entertainers' careers via Facebook and Twitter which gave me an early insight into the intricacies and patterns on these platforms.
I've now had formal education in digital marketing via various classes including the entertainment industry, reporting, and online marketing/promotion. I also have over 2 years professional experience from both university, and my work at the Ramsgate Festival of Sound as their Social Media Manager.

Having first performed at the festival with my own art installation in 2018, the directors of the Festival employed me as a permanent member of the team as the Social Media Manager. I've now worked at the Ramsgate Festival for over two years and continue to do rewarding and exciting work every season.
My various responsibilities include content creation, management of social media platforms, copywriting, website management and content creation, online customer interaction, mailing list management, and campaign creation.
Throughout my years at the festival I've achieved various successes. On Facebook I've drastically increased interaction levels, built the largest following the festival's online history, and created higher levels of event response and engagement. On Twitter I've continued to build followers, gained notice from notable local figures, and helped to develop a festival hashtag. Instagram has seen its follower count nearly triple since I started, and is fast becoming the festival's biggest asset through the growth I nurtured. I constantly update the website with the newest information by writing the platform's content, as well as recently introducing Mailchimp campaigns and a Youtube channel to help build the atmosphere associated with the festival name.

Events experience
RedAmberGreen Single launch party
Back in 2017 I worked on a team to curate a single launch for a University artist "RedAmberGreen". I ran the online promotion of the launch party which included posters/flyers and an online event page. I marketed both the event and the single through various social media channels with graphics created specifically for the launch.
Porchlight charity concert
In 2018 I organised, hosted and promoted a charity concert alongside one other colleague. We both created this event from conception to finish including visuals/graphics, talent sourcing, required tech, and event promotion. Via social media, local press, live streaming, and word of mouth, we successfully pulled off one of the largest attended events of the year.
Jail Break at Canterbury prison
As part of a larger scale events team I was tasked with the promotion of the first live event to be held at Canterbury's abandoned prison. Over the space of a couple months it was my job to use social media to promote ticket sales online for the concert. Unfortunatley due to inclimate weather the event was cancelled on the day, but original information can be found here
